Ecologic and En-Ya Mt Fuji Ecotours
En-Ya Mt Fuji Ecotours is produced by Ecologic Japan, an organisation dedicated to helping local people protect their natural and cultural heritage through tourism. As a coordinator and a consultant, Ecologic seeks to convey the local sense of value to the world through ecotours. See our tours below and how you can join!
Mt Fuji Hiking and Shrine Ecotour
Start with a visit to Mt Fuji Sengen Taisha Shrine, which has a history of over 2000 years and was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See Mt. Fuji’s spring water as it wells up in the shrine grounds. Then, enjoy a leisurely day hike to see both the natural and cultural side of Mt. Fuji. Hike from the 5th station of the Fujinomiya mountain route to Hoei crater, where you can enjoy lunch and the majestic views.
Satoyama Village Cycling Ecotour
Leisurely cycle through Satoyama village and past Mt. Fuji. Visit the breathtaking Shiraito Waterfalls, eat handmade soba (buckwheat noodles) and enjoy with finely battered tempura. Finish the day with a visit to a historic sake brewery and hear family stories from the 18th generation owner.
Fujinomiya Township and Culture Ecotour
Be fitted in a Kimono by a local expert, explore the town and chat with locals, visit the town shrine, learn to make beautiful Japanese sweets from a 3rd generation craftsman, and then enjoy this with Shizuoka green tea, made from Mt. Fuji’s crystal clear water.
