FAQ 1. Why choose En-Ya Mt. Fuji Ecotours?

En-Ya Mt. Fuji Ecotours is providing tourism that benefits and empowers local communities in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka, Japan. Fujinomiya has the majestic Mt.Fuji as an amazing background to its beautiful nature, culture, and people. The English speaking guides are not only friendly and fun, but well trained with intimate knowledge of Mt.Fuji and the local areas. They can guide you to meet the shy but friendly local people and craftsmen who are keen to share knowledge passed down through the generations. See below for our FAQ.

 

FAQ 2. How do I get to the Shiraito Falls Bus Stop for the Mt. Fuji Satoyama Village Cycling Ecotour?

To take the bus to Shiraito Falls please take the Fujikyuko Bus:
Shin-Fuji Sta. 9:45 →10:40 Shiraito Falls (1060 yen)
Fujinomiya Sta. 10:20 →10:40 Shiraito Falls (560 yen)

 

FAQ 3. What should we wear?

Each of our tours is unique. Please refer to each Ecotour Page to see what you should wear and bring.

 

FAQ 4. What is the minimum age to join an ecotour?

All of our ecotours are great for families with children over 10 years old. For our cycling ecotour, the required height is 145cm / 4’9” due to the mountain bike sizes available. For private tours exceptions for age can be made – please contact us for more information.

 

FAQ 5. Do you have private tours?

FAQ 6. How many people will be in the group?

2 to 10 guests. With numbers limited to 10 participants, you can enjoy a more intimate experience of the beauty of Mt. Fuji and surrounding local areas. FAQ 7. Where do we meet?

Departure locations vary from tour to tour, so check your specific Ecotour page for departure locations. You can find google maps links there as well.

 

FAQ 8, What if I am late?

If you know that you are going to be late please call us on +81-544-66-9029 or email us at info@ecologic.or.jp as the tour may leave without you for the other guests. Since our tours are designed to visit local shops which are booked for certain periods of time, we must meet our scheduled times to ensure the best tour for everyone.

 

FAQ 9. I have certain dietary requirements. Can I join the tour?

We can prepare vegetarian or Muslim friendly meals. Please let us know when booking.

 

FAQ 10. How can I book an ecotour?

If you contact us, we will reply within 1 day and either confirm your booking or, if your choice is not available, offer you an alternative date or tour.

 

FAQ 11. How far in advance should I book?

We ask for a minimum of 3 days. Since we work with several local shops and people, we need to organise to book ahead and also ensure that all services are available. This is one of the reasons you can have an intimate and local experience with us. You can book as early as you want, even a whole year ahead!

 

FAQ 12. What is your cancellation policy?

13 days or more before – Free

4 – 13 days before – 30% of ecotour cost

3 days or less before the ecotour – 100% of ecotour cost

In the case of bad weather and the tour cannot go ahead, we will contact you beforehand to rearrange or cancel and no fee will apply.

 

FAQ 13. How do we pay?

Tours are charged at the time of booking. We will send you a Square invoice when you book the tour. Square accepts the following credit cards: VISA, MASTER CARD, and AMERICAN EXPRESS. Please ensure you are familiar with the cancellation policy for the tours.

 

Cycling tours

FAQ 14. Is your cycling tour suitable for everyone?

Our tour is easy going, at a slow pace with frequent guiding and refreshment stops. Because of the size of our available mountain bikes, everyone over the height over 145cm / 4’9” can join our tour safely.

 

FAQ 15. I have never ridden a bike, can I join your cycling tour?

If you have no cycling experience, our cycling tour is not recommended.
